site.btaSome 70,000 Tourists from Visit Asen's Fortress in 2024

Around 70,000 people visited the Asen's Fortress in 2024, the Asenovgrad Municipality press service said on Monday.

Tourists from across Bulgaria as well as from England, France, Turkiye, China, Russia, Germany and other countries are among those who visited the tourist attraction, accumulating a revenue of nearly BGN 390,000 in 2024.

In January 2025, a total of 2,483 tourists visited the fortress, an increase compared to the same period of 2024, when the visitors totalled 1,977.

Over the past five years, the tourist site has been visited by nearly 75,000 people annually, with the strongest year being 2019, when the site welcomed some 100,000 visitors.
