The scenic cantata Carmina Burana by Carl Orff will be performed in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture on February 17, 2025, under the baton of Maestro Nayden Todorov, the Sofia Philharmonic said on Tuesday. This concert symbolizes cultural cooperation in the region, organizers from the Sofia Philharmonic said. The concert will also feature the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Republic of North Macedonia, the State Symphony Orchestra of Thessaloniki, Greece, and the National Philharmonic Choir.

The soloists are Soprano Ana Durlovski from the Republic of North Macedonia, Countertenor Nicholas Spanos from Greece, and Baritone Ivo Yordanov from Bulgaria.

Featuring a choir, soloists, vibrant orchestration, and stage action, Carmina Burana tells the story of the fragility of human destiny, the joys of spring, the intense passions of love, and the pleasures of life.
