"Artist, Light, Nature" is the exhibition of Rumen Atanasov at the "Prof. Vasil Gerov" hall of the National Endowment Fund "13 Centuries Bulgaria". The exposition includes 26 works created by the artist over the last four years, the fund team said.
The exhibition was opened on December 10 by Assoc. Prof. Boris Danailov, who presented the artist's work. The title of the exhibition speaks of the artist's love for nature. The picturesque landscapes are inspired by Rumen Atanasov's travels around the country. The artist is known among his colleagues for the fact that he always paints live, he does not use sketches, Danailov said.
Rumen Atanasov was born in 1965 in Dolna Mitropolia. He studied painting at the National Academy of Arts under Acad. Svetlin Rusev. Atanasov works mainly in cavallet painting. He has had five solo exhibitions in Bulgaria: Sofia (1996), Pleven (1997), Burgas (2019), Sevlievo (2022) and Geneva, Switzerland (2008). His works are owned by galleries both in Bulgaria and abroad.
The exhibition "Artist, Light, Nature" can be viewed until January 24.
