The Argentine-German co-production, "Adios Buenos Aires", won the Golden Aphrodite Award at the 32nd edition of the International Film Festival Love Is Folly in Varna, it emerged at a news conference on Friday by jury chairman Momchil Karamitev, curator Alexander Grozev and organizer Ilia Alekov. 

The festival's special prize went to the Iranian film "My Favorite Cake", a co-production of France, Sweden and Germany, made by the two directors and screenwriters Behtash Sanaeeha and Maryam Moghadam. The film also won the International Film Critics' Award at this year's Berlinale. 

Laszlo Szacsvay received the best actor award for "Some Birds" directed by Daniel Hever, while the best female actor award went to Liv Lisa Fries from Germany for her performance in the film "From Hilde, With Love" by Andreas Dresen, which was in competition at this year's Berlinale.  

The award of the Guild of Film Critics in Bulgaria went to the Russian-Croatian production "The Master and Margarita", a screen adaptation of Bulgakov's novel by Michael Lockshin from 2023. The Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers gave its prize to the Polish film "Feast of Fire" by Kinga Debska. 

The Special Prize of the Varna Municipality went to the Italian film " Giorni Felici", starring actor Franco Nero, who was a special guest at the festival.
