Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBAAC) Director General Aisha Adamu Augie held cultural discussions with Bulgarian Ambassador to Nigeria Yanko Yordanov on Thursday in Abuja, the CBAAC News Journal said. The meeting aimed to strengthen cultural ties and explore potential areas of collaboration between Nigeria and Bulgaria, particularly in the arts and culture sector.

Augie highlighted the historical connection between Nigeria and Bulgaria, citing the National Theatre in Lagos, designed and constructed by a Bulgarian company, which bears a striking resemblance to the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna, Bulgaria.

Both parties expressed enthusiasm for future partnerships and initiatives, recognizing the importance of cultural diplomacy in fostering greater understanding and collaboration between nations.

This meeting marks a significant step towards deepening cultural relations between Nigeria and Bulgaria, with CBAAC playing a pivotal role in promoting African arts and culture globally.
