Sunay Muratov will conduct the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet on August 24 on the stage of the Thracian sanctuary of Beglik Tash and close the 5th edition of the Opera of the Sanctuary Festival, said the Burgas State Opera on Friday.

Alexander Tekeliev is the director of the opera, which was specially adapted for the outdoor stage in Beglik Tash. The choir conductor will be Alexander Chepanov and the choreography will be by Galina Kalcheva. In the main roles, the audience will see and hear mezzo-soprano Daniela Dyakova, tenor Daniel Damyanov, baritone Valeri Turmanov and soprano Maria Tsvetkova-Madzharova.

Tickets for the event are already sold out.

For the convenience of the audience, Primorsko Municipality organizes transport to Beglik Tash and back from the parking lot of the Town Hall.

Beglik Tash is a prehistoric rock sanctuary situated on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast, close to Primorsko. It is believed to have been re-used by Thracian tribes in the Iron Age.
