site.btaArt Book Exhibition to Present Works of 26 Authors from 13 Countries

An exhibition entitled Art Book will be presented from June 4 to 27 at the Serdica Gallery in Sofia. The event is part of this year's edition of Sofia Paper Art Fest, mottoed "Without Borders", the organizers from Amateras Foundation and Serdica Gallery said here on Thursday.

The team notes that Art Book is becoming a favourite event of the artists who seek the sacred sound of the book and its mysterious world. The selection of 26 authors chosen from 13 countries, including Australia, Europe, Asia, Latin and North America, will represent different currents in this art. Among the artists are Leticia Burgos (Argentina), Wilhelm Schramm (Austria), Janine De Reimeker (Belgium), Alberto Fararo (Italy), Kenji Sato (Japan), and Pat Hudson (the USA). 

Some of the artists are embarking on the journey of transformation of old books into original art works. Others create unique editions from elegant papers with fine printing and design inspired by the Eastern traditions of Japan, China and Korea. Still others create works with allegorical messages to the viewer about pressing social processes, the team notes.
