site.btaJewelry Section of Union of Bulgarian Artists Holds Annual Exhibition in Sofia

The Jewelry Section of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) is holding its annual exhibition. Titled Beyond the Scale, it will be on at the UBA Gallery in central Sofia from September 12 to 30.  

"The title of the annual exhibition alludes to the intention of the organizers to refute the common notion of jewelry artists as being limited only to the boundaries of jewelry art. The exhibition will shed a different light on these artists. They have chosen new means of expression, getting their ideas across through painting, graphics, sculpture, tabletop sculpture, glass sculpture, and even monumental decorative art. They are searching for the symbiosis or the difference between the different forms and leave their own signature styles in all of them,” the organizers said. 

The exhibition will display works by Anjelo Krasini, Avgust Spasov, Borislav Krastev, Vladimir Radoev, Daniela Radoeva, Elena Kafedzhiyska, Ivo Borisov, and Nikolay Sardamov. Metal sculptures by the late Ivan Georgiev will also be exhibited.
