NATO Assistant Secretary General for Executive Management Carlo Borghini paid a working visit to Sofia on March 11-12, during which he conferred with the Foreign Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Ivan Kondov, to present NATO’s human resources strategy, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Wednesday.

Kondov highly appreciated the efforts to introduce new methods for attracting and motivating personnel within NATO’s structures. He voiced hope that the positive trend of increasing Bulgarian representation in NATO over the past two years would continue.

In collaboration with the Diplomatic Institute, a public lecture titled "Career Development Opportunities at NATO" was held at the Foreign Ministry, where Borghini’s team gave a presentation on the selection process and career prospects within the Alliance.

Earlier on Wednesday, at an event organized by the Foreign Ministry in partnership with the Big Data for Smart Society Institute (GATE) at St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, Borghini informed young professionals, students, and innovators about opportunities to become part of NATO’s teams.
