The National Assembly rejected a draft decision to oblige the Council of Ministers to take the necessary actions to renegotiate the current concession contracts for gold, precious and rare metals mining in order to significantly increase concession payments and increase control, and failing that, to take action to terminate them. The draft decision was tabled by the MECh parliamentary group and was rejected after a re-vote with 44 votes in favour, 52 against and 84 abstentions. The proposal received support from one MP from Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria and 31 votes from the Vazrazhdane group.
