Vazrazhdane sees a training opportunity in the US for municipal councilors as "large-scale recruitment" and will take the matter to the State Agency for National Security (SANS). In a statement for the press, the party leader Kostadin Kostadinov said that they are sending a tipoff to SANS about "thousands of email messages sent out through the National Association of Municipalities in Bulgaria" which invite municipal councilors to apply for participation in a leadership training programme in the US.

Kostadinov said that "such a large-scale email attack via the America for Bulgaria Foundation has not happened in years". 

The party expects the SANS to look into "the Foundation's doing" and its "connection with the National Association of Municipalities". 

A few days ago, the Executive Director of the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria, Sylvia Georgieva, told BTA that they receive daily information about funding opportunities from various organizations and immediately share them with the municipalities.
