The Hristo Prodanov High School in Karlovo said on Friday that it will apply innovative approaches from the Portuguese education system.
Two student groups and their teachers completed an intensive training for 12 days in the Portuguese city of Braga, where they had the opportunity to visit local schools, learn about good practices and be inspired by innovative teaching methods.
Through the exchange the school successfully completed the Sustainable European Future project under the Erasmus+ programme. The project aimed to explore and adapt innovative educational approaches and methodologies from the Portuguese education system, known for its orientation towards digitalization, hands-on learning and interdisciplinary approach.
In Portugal, the Bulgarian students were impressed by the interactive technologies used in classrooms, as well as the emphasis on independent thinking and creativity. The teachers, on the other hand, observed methods for integrating students with different educational needs and emphasized the importance of international exchange for improving qualifications.
The school management expressed confidence that it will continue with the policy of active participation in international initiatives, adding that a new mobility project under the Erasmus + programme will be implemented in the academic year 2025/2026.
