site.bta50-Plus Mln Tourists Visited Turkiye in January-November 2024, of Them 5.37% Are Bulgarians

According to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, 50,040,427 foreign tourists visited Turkey from the beginning of this year until the end of November. This is an increase of 7.09% compared with the like period of 2023. During this period, 2,685,311 tourists arrived from Bulgaria, accounting for 5.37% of the total number of tourists. According to this indicator, Bulgaria ranks fifth for the first eleven months of 2024 after Russia, Germany, the UK and Iran.

The number of foreigners visiting Turkey in November was 2,733,663. Bulgaria, with 232,050 tourists, was in fourth place. Most tourists arrived from Germany, followed by Iran and Russia.

Istanbul is the top destination for foreign visitors and they accounted for 51% of the total number of foreign tourists in Turkey last month. Istanbul is followed by Antalya in second place and Edirne in third place.
