site.btaSofia City Court Refuses to Strike Delyan Peevski Off MRF Record

The Sofia City Court (SCC) refused to enter changes in the record of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) in the register of political parties, the court said on Thursday.

The changes are related to the exclusion of Delyan Peevski and several other people from the party.

The court's reasoning says that the party's statute lacks a written procedure regarding the convening of the Central Operations Bureau and the notification of a sanctioned member of his expulsion.

The court found that the evidence of the means employed did not establish proper service of the document on the sanctioned member as there was no evidence that it was received by the addressee.  

The decision is appealable to the Supreme Court.
