BSP-United Left has urged parliamentary political forces with the exception of MRF-New Beginning to find consensus in the 51st National Assembly, BSP’s press office said on Monday. The coalition expressed readiness to organize a joint meeting with the six formations.

“Setting an immediate legislative agenda for the 51st Parliament will not be an easy task, so we declare that it is time to sit down to unite around a chair of the National Assembly with undisputed authority in the person of Nataliya Kiselova, and to specify the urgent legislative initiatives on which to start working,” the letter says. BSP-United Left adds that it is not clear what draft budget for next year will be submitted and when it will be voted through. “This calls into question the normal functioning of entire systems such as social, health and education,” the coalition added.

BSP-United Left proposes rallying around several examples of common parliamentary actions, including legislative activity (2025 Budget Act, changes to the Judicial System Act and the Election Code), election/renewal of state bodies that the National Assembly fully or partially forms (Ombudsman and his deputy, members of the Audit Office and the Constitutional Court), establishment of ad hoc parliamentary committees on cases that have left significant doubts in the public.
