In 63 voting sections there was no live video stream and recording of the parliamentary elections on October 27, Deputy Chair of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Rositsa Mateva said during a meeting of the Commission on Monday.

On October 31, the CEC decided to request details from Information Services related to the video surveillance of the counting of ballot papers at the voting sections.

Information Services data indicated that there should have been video broadcasting in 11,626 polling stations, there was live recording in 11,400 polling stations. Device recordings were retrieved from 11,556 sections, Mateva explained.

According to a CEC decision, the information for polling stations with no video recording will be sent to the respective regional election commissions with instructions to collect the necessary information by the end of this week (November 10) and to draw up acts of violation against the chairs of the polling station commissions where there was no recording of the ballot paper counting and the filling in of the protocols. All information should then be sent to the CEC for further action.
