National Audit Office (NAO) Vice President Toshko Todorov does not think he is prepared to become caretaker prime minister as his professional expertise is in the field of auditing. Todorov spoke to journalists after meeting with President Rumen Radev. As Vice President of the NAO, Todorov is in a pool of individuals eligible to be nominated by the President for prime minister of a caretaker government, the President's press secretariat said.

Commenting on the "pool rule" back in March, Todorov said: "It is a misconception that the choice can be made from among 10 people. There are many people who deserve to be in that position."
