site.btaFive Russian Drones Downed over Mykolaiv Region

The Ukrainian air defence forces downed five Russian drones over the Mykolaiv region on the night of Monday to Tuesday, regional governor Vitalii Kim said on Telegram.

Russia attacked the Mykolaiv region with drones four times on Monday: at 9:55 a.m., 10:12 a.m., 10:42 a.m., and 7:53 p.m., Kim wrote.

The drones were flying from the Kherson region towards the Mykolaiv region, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Telegram.

A fire broke out in an open space outside the settlement as a result of falling debris from the drones and was swiftly put out by firefighters. No people were injured, the regional governor said.

Some 5,000 Bulgarians live in Mykolaiv’s district, Ternovka. The earliest Bulgarian settlers near the city of Mykolaiv founded the settlement of Ternovka in 1802. In the early 21st century, Ternovka became a district of Mykolaiv.
