The National Children's Helpline 116 111 of the State Agency for Child Protection received over 16,600 calls in the first seven months of the year. Psychological support was provided in nearly 11,700 consultations. There were 1,079 reports of a child at risk. Nearly 580 calls came from emergency number 112 operators, 32 from medical staff and 22 from educational institutions.
Most often, the helpline counsellors provided psychological support about communication, both between children and between adults and children. Between January and July 2024, boys calling 116 111 outnumbered girls.
As the helpline marks its 15th anniversary this year, the State Agency for Child Protection held a national children's competition for a logo of 116 111. The winners will be announced in October.
