site.btaMRF Leader Peevski: Bulgaria Has Proved Itself as Reliable Partner in NATO

"Today marks the 20th anniversary of Bulgaria's accession to NATO. Twenty years in which Bulgaria has established itself as a highly valued, reliable and secure partner on the international stage," Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) leader Delyan Peevski said in a statement on Friday. The contribution of the Movement to achieving this strategic goal for Bulgaria is huge, he added. 

“From the very beginning the MRF has defended the Euro-Atlantic values, believed that the path for the development of our country goes through NATO and the European Union and imposed this civilizational choice. As the main champions of rights and freedoms and peace, we are firmly convinced that the Atlantic values have no alternative,” Peevski said.   

According to him, these values have become the main pillar of international geopolitical relations. In times of war and grave challenges, it is necessary for each of the Alliance's member states to work for unity and solidarity, for the sake of collective security and the protection of people's lives and health, Peevski further stressed.
