Cohesion policy in the European Union will be the topic of a conference under the BTA project Europe on Balkans: Cohesion Skill, which will be held on December 12 at the BTA Press Club in Bosilegrad (Western Outlands, Southeast Serbia). The event will start at 10:30. Through its initiative, BTA aims to provide information to the general public and to promote an open dialogue on cohesion policy, local performance and the implementation of the European Union's political priorities.

The Forum will be opened by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev. Representatives of the Embassy and Consulate General of Bulgaria in Serbia will also arrive in Bosilegrad. The deputy mayors of Kyustendil and Pernik Nikolay Dochev and Stefan Krastev, Executive Director of the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad Raina Mandzhukova, representatives of the Southwestern University from Blagoevgrad, Blagovest Todorov and Stanislav Grozdanov have also confirmed their participation. Stefan Stoykov, Chairman of the National Council of the Bulgarian National Minority in Serbia, has also been invited, University Community center Chairman Rumen Barosov, the directors of the schools in Bosilegrad, Snezhana Apostolova and Vladimir Gligorov, Chairman of the Cultural Information Center in Bosilegrad Ivan Nikolov and many other friends and partners who are relevant to the topic are invited as well.

The main objective of the project is to provide objective and comprehensive information in order to give an accurate overall picture of the European Union's cohesion policy, including the Just Transition Fund, the relevant support under the Recovery Plan for Europe or the Technical Support Facility. Special emphasis will be placed on education and skills as a driver for regional development.

This event will also mark nine years since the opening of the Press Club in Bosilegrad. The name of the fourth winner of the Maxim Minchev Award will also be announced. After the official part, a small celebration will take place, where the collected amount from the 12th charity initiative of the Association "GLAS" - Bosilegrad will be announced.

In the period between November 2024 and September 2025 BTA organizes discussions in its press clubs in Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Vidin, Vratsa, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Kazanlak, Kardzhali, Kyustendil, Lovech, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pernik, Petrich, Pleven, Plovdiv, Razgrad, Ruse, Samokov, Svishtov, Silistra, Sliven, Smolyan, Sofia, Stara Zagora, Troyan, Targovishte, Haskovo, Shumen and Yambol, as well as cross-border conferences in Bosilegrad, Belgrade, Bucharest, Adrianople, Skopje and Thessaloniki.

Since the beginning of the project BTA has organized conferences in Plovdiv, Silistra, Petrich, Montana and Burgas.
