Interest in this year's 21st edition of the Ankara Book Fair is extremely high.
Huge queues of people wishing to visit the fair formed in front of the ATO Congresium congress centre in the Turkish capital. The event opened on November 29 and will last until December 8.
This year, over 400 publishing houses are participating in the fair and books by more than 800 writers are being presented. The fair also includes various conferences and seminars with the participation of a number of famous writers.

The fair features many new Turkish books, as well as publications by foreign writers. The publishing houses of most leading Turkish universities have their own stands at the event.
Many of the publishing houses offer discounts on books, in some cases even up to 50%.
