site.btaPM Glavchev to Visit Kapitan Andreevo Border Crossing with Turkiye

Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev will visit the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the Cabinet's press service said. The visit is part of the efforts undertaken by the caretaker government to comprehensively modernize and optimize border crossing points. 

The inspection will also be attended by Turkish Ambassador Mehmet Sait Uyanik, caretaker Ministers of Interior Kalin Stoyanov, Regional Development and Public Works Violeta Koritarova, Director of the Customs Agency Georgi Dimov, and Director of the General Directorate of Border Police Chief Commissioner Anton Zlatanov, the government press service further said.

Glavchev and Uyanik visited the Malko Tarnovo - Derekoy checkpoint on Bulgaria's border with Turkiye on Monday. The visit was a follow-up to their working meeting in end-May, where the two sides discussed the heavy road traffic, congestion and the need to expand the border crossing point.
