A tram of love will run in the Romanian capital for Valentine's Day. The tram, with number 46, which passes through the city's main train station (Gara de Nord), is painted candy pink with red hearts and a red inscription "As an idea... I love you" (Ca idee… te iubesc).

The initiative was by Romanian TV presenter Andreea Esca from PRO TV (PRO TV).

"I wanted to put a smile on the faces of the residents of Bucharest for Valentine's Day, so together with the Bucharest Transport Company we turned an ordinary tram into a symbol of love," said the journalist.

The route of the vehicle also passes by a shop that is entirely dedicated to and inspired by the celebration of love. All the items in it are labeled "I love you".

The entire city is full of hearts and other specific Valentine's Day decorations. The windows of most shops and cafes are decorated with plush toys or plastered with catchy inscriptions, stickers, cards in English in the spirit of the holiday.

Three flower studios attracted the attention of residents and guests of the Romanian capital not only with original offers for February 14, but also with lavish decorations for the holiday. For this purpose, they used different models of cars covered with real and artificial flowers, as well as different figures with vegetation.

The installations quickly became a desirable setting for photo shoots for couples.

The red rose remains the most popular choice for a flower given on Valentine's Day.

"We received the first delivery orders in January. We also have a request for a bouquet of 301 roses", one of the owners of a flower studio in the centre of Bucharest told BTA.

The price of the most expensive bouquet reaches RON 1209 (BGN 483). The price of a gourmet chocolate gift in a box is similar.

In the month of February, Romanians celebrate love twice, on February 14, Valentine's Day, and on the 24, when they celebrate Dragobete.
