The ferry service between Bulgaria’s Oryahovo and Romania’s Bechet was suspended over the critically low level of the Danube, the Border Police Directorate General said Tuesday morning. Freight vehicles will be redirected to the Ruse and Nikopol border checkpoints.
Outbound traffic is intense for trucks at the Vidin, Kardam, Nikopol, and Durankulak checkpoints on the border with Romania.
The joint checkpoints at Kainardzha/Lipnitsa and Krushari/Dobromir are open according to the agreed working hours from 8 am to 8 pm.
