site.btaArchitectural Building Week Exhibition to Kick Off in Sofia on March 26

Architectural Building Week and the Green Energy and BIM Expo formats will take place from March 26 to March 29 at Sofia's Inter Expo Center. More than 190 exhibitors, nearly 1,000 Bulgarian and foreign brands, and more than 30 side events will take part, the forums' organizers said on Tuesday.

The ceremony will be attended by representatives of Chamber of Engineers in the Investment Design, Bulgarian Construction Chamber, Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria, Bulgarian Association for Insulation in Construction, Bulgarian Industrial Association, as well as Inter Expo Center General Manager Ivaylo Ivanov and other official guests.

Architectural Building Week is а business exhibition that for the twenty-fifth time will bring together all segments in construction and architecture.

Energy efficiency, renewable energy, smart solutions will be presented at the Green Energy Forum. Among the highlights will be energy management, heating, renewable energy. Vehicles, charging systems and batteries will be the focus in the Electromobility sector. The latest smart systems and technologies for energy storage, solar solutions, smart public transport and mobility, sustainable urban environment, heating, ventilation and air conditioning will be presented at the stands. The focus will be on smart cities, energy efficiency solutions, passive buildings, their management systems, waste management and recycling, specialized machinery, composting equipment, recycled material products, technologies for remediation of contaminated soil, local treatment facilities for buildings, etc.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology is an integral element of modern construction, architecture, engineering and design. The digital design methodology gathers all the information and enables project management and detailing before the project even starts. BIM will be the focus of the first edition of BIM Expo, a project of Inter Expo Center and bimdesign, at Architectural Building Week. Software, tools and technologies optimizing processes will be presented. The European Digital Innovation Hub in Construction, Scan to BIM, digitalization will be among the highlights on 26 March on the BIM Expo stage. 

The Archinova Architecture Awards 2024, which will take place on March 27, will honour the best in architecture, urbanism and landscape design. Through the efforts of the Chamber of Builders, a National Conference on Energy Efficiency will take place on the same day. 

The first annual awards of professional landscapers in Bulgaria will be presented on March 28. Mobile workshops, waterproofing of the latest generation will be among the highlights of the last day of the exhibitions.
