Bulgarian Food Safety Agency Advises Livestock Farmers to Comply with Biosecurity Measures after Detection of New Outbreaks in Slovakia

The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency advised livestock farmers Tuesday to comply with biosecurity measures. The statement was made In connection with the complicated epizootic situation in Europe.

Three new outbreaks of foot and mouth disease have been detected in Slovakia near the border with Hungary in the last week alone. This brings the total number in Europe since the beginning of the year to five. Outbreaks were detected in Germany and Hungary.
