site.btaTennis Player Grigor Dimitrov Qualifies for Miami Open Quarterfinals

Bulgaria's highest ranked tennis player Grigor Dimitrov qualified for the quarterfinals of the ATP Masters event in Miami on Tuesday. He achieved a 6-4 7-5 victory over American Brandon Nakashima. 

Dimitrov scored a total of 12 aces, including 3 in the closing game of the match. 

In the next round he will meet the winner of the match between world No. 6 Casper Ruud and No. 24 Francisco Cerundolo.

The Bulgarian, currently No. 15 in the world rankings, is enjoying a successful campaign in Miami for a second consecutive year after reaching the final in 2024. This season the 33-year-old has been suffering from injuries, retiring from 3 out of 5 tournaments before Miami.
