A concert by Fanny Kutsarova (piano), Ventsi Trifonov (clarinet) and Martin Vladimirov (gadulka) will take place at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute (BCI) in Budapest, Hungary, on March 28, said the cultural institution on its Facebook page.
The premiere of this concert brings together an unprecedented ensemble - piano, clarinet and the Bulgarian gadulka [a rare string instrument with three main strings and eleven resonating strings], the BCI said.
This unexpected lineup unites famous musicians from different fields, classical and folklore. Their performances challenge the expectations of the audience and expand the boundaries of musical art, the Institute also noted.
The programme includes the rarely performed romantic Trio Pp. 40 by Carl Frühling and The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla, interwoven with Bulgarian traditional music.
“Experience the magic of the fusion of classical, tango and folklore, as virtuosos Fanny Kutsarova, Ventsi Trifonov and Martin Vladimirov explore new musical horizons,” said the Bulgarian Cultural Institute.
