site.btaCentral Election Commission Draws Numbers for Parties, Coalitions and Independent Candidates in European Elections

Sofia, April 24 (BTA) - Through a draw on Wednesday, the Central Election Commission assigned numbers to the candidate lists of parties, coalitions and initiative committees for the European elections on May 26.
The following numbers were assigned to the parties and coalitions currently represented in the national Parliament and the European Parliament, as well as to some well-known candidates:

1. Patriots for Valeri Simeonov (National Front for Salvation of
 Bulgaria - European Middle Class)
3. VMRO - Bulgarian National Movement
10. Coalition for Bulgaria (ABV)
11. Dessislava Ivancheva - independent candidate
12. GERB
13. Democratic Bulgaria
14. Ataka
16. DOST
18. BSP for Bulgaria
20. Movement for Rights and Freedoms
23. Volya
24. Movement 21
26 Reload Bulgaria

The number of each party, coalition and initiative committee for
 an independent candidate is indicated on the paper ballots and
the ballots for machine voting, as well as in the registers of
the section and regional election commissions.

A total of 13 parties, 18 coalitions and six independent
candidates will be running for European Parliament. They have to
 clear a 5.8 per cent barrier to win seats in the EP. IG/LN/
