Desislava Angelova placed sixth in the skiff rowing tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The 26-year-old Bulgarian, who made her debut at the Olympics, covered the distance of 2,000 metres on the rowing canal in Verre-sur-Marne in 7:33.19 minutes.
Angelova started well and moved fourth in the first 300-400 metres, then gradually lost speed and finished last in Final A.
She is the first Bulgarian in the Olympic women's final in rowing in 16 years after world record holder Rumiana Neykova, who triumphed in the same discipline at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
The gold medal went to Karolien Florijn (Netherlands), who finished the race in 7:17.28 minutes.
Bulgaria's other Olympic rower Kristian Vassilev placed 14th in the men's sculls after finishing second in Final C earlier on Saturday.
