site.btaGerman Social Democratic Party Holds Annual Spring Meeting in Albena, Party Members Charmed by Resort

The German Social Democratic Party (SPD) held its annual Spring Meeting in the holiday village of Albena between May 27 and June 3. "Everyone is very satisfied, there was not a single complaint, not a single unfulfilled wish", said Björn Kufahl, Managing Director of the SPD Travel Service Team, adding that members and supporters of SPD would recommend Albena and Bulgaria to anyone.

The week-long trip included many events, distinguished dinners, political forums and meetings. Members used the opportunity to talk to each other and share impressions, he said. “The Spring Meeting is being held for the 18th year since 2005 with a disruption due to COVID-19. We have been to different European countries, but after looking at the possibilities, we decided that Albena was the best choice. During our stay, we convinced ourselves that this is indeed the case," Kufahl noted. 

He emphasised that the party is not visiting Bulgaria for political reasons. "Yes, the organizers are members of the German Social Democratic Party, but our main goal is tourism. We travel purely in a friendly manner, it is not a question of solving political issues." He said that Bulgaria is an interesting destination in a political context, and is now easy to travel to without restrictions by plane. 

"I have been in the tourism industry for years, I have seen many destinations and have a large base for comparison. Bulgaria is a wonderful country, it has a rich culture. In the last 20 years I have been here several times on business, and my first impressions have not changed", said Kufahl, adding that Bulgaria is one of the best destinations in Europe. "The location of Albena is also amazing, on the coast of the Black Sea, in close proximity to the Baltata Nature Reserve. All guests are impressed by the greenery here, as well as by the service and the comfort," concluded Kufahl.
