The average net wage in Montenegro was EUR 828 in April 2024, increasing by 0.4% compared with March 2024, the local news agency MINA reported, citing data from the national statistical office Monstat.

In April 2024 compared with April 2023, the average net wage in Montenegro rose by 5.3%.

The average gross wage in April 2024 stood at EUR 1,040.

Given that consumer prices went up by 0.1% in April 2024 month on month, the average net wage rose by 0.3% in real terms, Monstat said in a press release, as quoted by MINA.

An increase of the average net wage in April 2024 was reported in civil engineering construction, wholesale and retail trade, the public administration and defence, financial services, hotel and restaurant services, and agriculture, forestry and fisheries, among other sectors.

Decreasing wage levels were registered in professional, scientific and technical activities, real estate, the manufacturing industries, transport and storage, administrative and auxiliary services, education and art, and entertainment and recreation.
