site.btaFormer Prosecutor General Announces Initiative against Bulgaria's Involvement in War in Ukraine

Former prosecutor general and Justice for Bulgaria Movement leader Ivan Geshev said at a press conference here on Monday that he is launching a new initiative to prevent Bulgaria from participating in war and to start peace talks in Ukraine.

Geshev said: "We want immediate peace talks and we are against Bulgaria's participation in a war, for which we are being prepared." He reported that there is a petition underway to demand an immediate end to the war in Ukraine and an end to the attempts to involve Bulgaria in it.

According to the former prosecutor, Bulgaria and the EU's position on the war should be drastically changed. "We are launching this initiative because the war in Ukraine is already becoming pointless. A definitive victory is no longer possible," Geshev said.
