There are 22 active companies with Bulgarian capital in the Romanian Prahova County, which transpired during a visit of Bulgaria's Ambassador to Romania, Radko Vlaykov, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Prahova (CCI Prahova) on Friday. Vlaykov was welcomed by CCI Prahova's President, Aurelian Gogulescu, who expressed hope that the two countries will cooperate in the fields of tourism and energy efficiency and invited Bulgarian winemakers to participate in this year's exhibition of Romanian wines from Prahova.

The event was also attended by Ploiesti Deputy Mayor, Daniel Nicodim, the Bulgarian Embassy in Romania told BTA.

Gogulescu cited data from Romania's national trade register, according to which the value of trade between Bulgaria and Romania in the first four months of 2023 amounted to around EUR 8.3 billion. The trade volume between Prahova and Bulgaria in 2023 was around EUR 214 million. As of the end of 2023, 3,238 companies with Bulgarian participation were registered in Romania.
