The Phantom of the Opera is coming from Broadway to Sofia. Andrew Lloyd Webber's production will have six performances from April 11 to 14 at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia, organizers BG Sound Stage said.
The production comes after an agreement with Really Useful Group, Lloyd Webber's company that produces and promotes his music, including the musicals The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Sunset Boulevard.

The Phantom of the Opera has been seen by over 160 million people across 41 countries. Staged over 13,000 times on Broadway, it is the longest-running show in Broadway history by over 3,500 performances. A preview of The Phantom was staged for the first time in 1985 at Sydmonton Court. Three years later, the show hit Broadway.
The Phantom has earned numerous accolades, including seven Tony Awards and four Olivier Awards.
The original album recording of the London cast has sold 40 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling recorded musical of all time.
