Bulgarian Ambassador to Indonesia Tanya Dimitrova met with the management of Bakrie University in Jakarta to discuss various forms of interaction between universities in Bulgaria and Indonesia, the Embassy of Bulgaria in Indonesia said in a publication on the official website of the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.

Dimitrova congratulated participants on the efforts for the development of the institution and commented on the opportunities for cooperation, such as hosting Bulgarian speakers for the upcoming conferences organized by the university.

In the course of the conversation it was also agreed to develop an internship program for students from the university to further improve their skills and put their knowledge into practice at the Bulgarian Embassy.

The team of the Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Indonesia also added that the Bakrie University has not worked on Erasmus+ programmes with Bulgarian universities so far, but the academic management has expressed interest in expanding international cooperation in this direction.
