An air raid alert was issued in Odesa at 10:50 am on Tuesday, the Odesa City Council announced on its website. The population must immediately take cover in bomb shelters. The closest shelter can be found on an interactive Bomb Shelters/Shelters map, the message reads.

The Bulgarian community in Odesa Region is the third biggest there, numbering over 150,000 people according to the 2001 census in Ukraine. Some 50,000-60,000 Bulgarians live in Odesa.
