A Southeast Europe Connectivity Forum (SECF) begins in Thessaloniki on Tuesday. Organizers of the first edition of the forum put Greece and the host city at the heart of connectivity in Southeast Europe. The agenda will be dominated by the strengthening of Southeast Europe’s strategic role through investments in connectivity. The conference is organized by SFT Tsomokos in strategic partnership with Thessaloniki Port Authority (ThPA). 
 
Bulgaria will be represented by Finance Minister Assen Vassilev and Deputy Transport Minister Anna Mihneva-Natova. Among speakers will be Roumen Markov, General Manager of Large Infrastructure Projects LLC, it transpires from the updated agenda. 

Deputy Transport Minister Mihneva-Natova will participate in the first panel on November 1 on Southeast Europe’s transformation through large transport infrastructure projects. 
Currently, Greece is implementing 20 large infrastructure projects, including extending motorways. Expanding rail roads and internodal electric connections in new regions. Work is expected to be completed in 2024.

Meanwhile, the European Union finances infrastructure projects in the area of transport, energy, digitalization in order to improve connectivity between regions. 
The forum takes place under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy of Greece.
