Bulgarian Girl Wins National Geographic Photo Contest
Sofia, January 28 (BTA) - Eight-year old Radostina Todorova won first place in National Geographic's 2015 international photo contest for kids, the Bulgarian edition of National Geographic magazine said.
Winners in the competition were announced at the magazine's international headquarters in Washington on Thursday. Radostina's photograph of the Erma River gorge won in the Bold Explorers category.
Winners in the contest were selected from among 17,500 entrants in the respective national contest in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Bulgaria, China, Germany, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Turkey and the UK.
Some 1,056 photographs were entered for the national contest in Bulgaria. An exhibition of select photographs from the national contest and the international winners will take place between February 5 and March 5 at Sofia's Serdika Centre.
