Protesting Serbian students headed on a march from Belgrade to Novi Sad on a route that was announced on social media under the slogan "One Step from Justice!". The demonstration is a two-day event and is being monitored by the police.

The aim of the march is to reach the Novi Sad central square on February 1 to mark three months since a tragedy in the northern Serbian city where a concrete canopy of the local railway station collapsed and killed 15.

"On February 1, we will all be here - some will arrive by train, others on foot, and some by bicycle," the students wrote on social media.

The students called on citizens to join them and published the rules that must be followed during the march to Novi Sad and the protest there.

During their last demonstration, the students gathered massive support and blocked for 24 hours the Autokomanda road junction on the international E-75 highway at the entrance to Belgrade. The same day in Novi Sad, a group of students were attacked as they were putting stickers and painting graffiti on the facade of the ruling party's office. A female students suffered injuries to her body and face and had to undergo emergency surgery. Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic took responsibility for the incident and resigned. The mayor of Novi Sad, Milan Duric stepped down from his position as well.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that within 10 days, a decision would be made on whether to attempt the formation of a new government or call for early parliamentary elections.
