The mountains offer poor hiking conditions on Thursday, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross has told BTA. 

The weather is warm, with wind and fog in the higher parts of the mountains. Temperatures range from 0C to 4C.

Most of the facilities in the ski resorts are operational. No incidents involving hikers have been reported in the past 24 hours. 

The MRS advised hikers to exercise caution, ensuring they are adequately equipped due to the windy and foggy weather at higher elevations, icy terrain, and the brief rain that occurred on Wednesday.
