Mountain Running: Antonia Grigorova Runs 600-km Kom-Emine Distance in Less than 6 Days

Cape Emine, on the Black Sea, August 7 (BTA) - Mountain runner and Nordic skier Antonia Grigorova has achieved her goal to run the 600-km distance between the 2,015-m Mount Kom, the westernmost point of the Balkan Range, to its easternmost point at Cape Emine on the Black Sea in less than six days. She also became the first woman to run the entire distance at a competitive speed.

Grigorova reached Cape Emine in the small hours of Monday after running the 600 km in 5 days, 22 hours and 55 minutes.

The record for fastest Kom-Emine race belongs to orienteering competitor Kiril "Diesel" Nikolov who ran it for 4 days and 13 hours in 2015.

Only several days ago, Borislav Yordanov crossed the same course with a bike and clocked 3 days, 9 hours and 1 minute, which was also a new record.
