Bulgaria won another three medals, one silver and two bronze, on the second day of the Balkan Artistic Gymnastics here in Sofia’s Arena 8888.

The first team, including Kristin Krasteva, Michelle Arabadjieva, Gergana Markova, Valentina Balkandjieva, Simone Arabadjieva and Bilyana Baneva won a bronze with a total of 133.295 points. They were outranked by team Romania with 139.261 points (gold) and team Hungary with 135.328 points (silver).

In the individual age brackets, Bulgaria won two medals in the three age groups: Bilyana Baeva won the bronze in the pre-youth range with a total of 44.098 points (vault 11.466, uneven bars 9.133, beam 11.966 points and floor 11.533 points). 

Kristin Krasteva won the silver in the youth group range. 

The best-ranking Bulgarian gymnast in the junior age group, Gergana Markova, placed sixth with 42.165 points. Turkey’s Yasam Sugra became the Balkan champion with 45.832 points.

Bulgarians will compete in six events on the final day of the championships. Arabadjieva will participate in the vault competition, and Krasteva in the uneven bars and beam, together with Baneva. Krasteva and Arabadjieva also ranked among the first eight in the floor event.

On the first day of the championships, team Bulgaria won three gold and one bronze medal in the men’s gymnastics group.
