Minister of Labour and Social Policy Borislav Gutsanov discussed the development of the labour market with representatives of the Association of the Organizations of the Bulgarian Employers (AOBE), the Labour Ministry reported on Monday.

Gutsanov said that what needs to be done is to find in dialogue the point of contact between social partners in the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation in order to reach decisions that benefit the state and result in decent incomes.

The AOBE presented its priorities for 2025 and its views on income policy and on changes to the Labour Code. The two sides agreed to work on facilitating the labour migration process to improve access to personnel for businesses.

Gutsanov said: "Labour migration is a short-term solution. In the long term, we need to improve communication between business, state institutions and secondary and higher education institutions, so that Bulgarian employees are better adapted to the requirements of businesses."
