More than BGN 1.7M was raised through the DMS platform in 2024, Bcause Foundation said here on Tuesday. This translates to an average of BGN 140,000 per month. One-time SMS donations amounted to an average of BGN 90,000 monthly, while monthly subscriptions generated an average of BGN 57,000 each month.

The foundation reported that 197 active campaigns received support during the year. Among these, 121 were organized by associations and foundations, 66 were aimed at medical treatments, eight focused on temple construction, and two were run by municipal institutions.

For the first time since its establishment in 2007, the platform updated SMS donation prices to reflect the rising cost of living. A one-time SMS donation now costs BGN 2, while monthly SMS subscriptions have been increased to BGN 5 and BGN 10.

The most successful campaign in 2024 was "DMS OGNEBOREC – Let's Help the Volunteers in the Fight Against Fires!" organized by the National Association of Volunteers in the Republic of Bulgaria, which raised BGN 123,468 across various donation channels.

Since its launch in 2007, the DMS platform has supported a total of 1,907 campaigns, raising BGN 20,295,179, Bcause added.
