At the end of November 2023, deposits6 of the non-government sector were BGN 122.799 billion (65.7% of GDP), the Bulgarian National Bank said on Friday. The annual increase is by 8.5%.
The deposits of Non-financial corporations were BGN 41.756 billion (22.3% of GDP) at the end of November 2023. Compared to the same month of 2022 they increased by 6.9% (8.4% annual growth in October 2023). Deposits of Financial corporations decreased by 12% annually in November 2023 (5.5% annual decline in October 2023) and at the end of the month they were BGN 3.392 billion (1.8% of GDP).
Deposits of households were BGN 77.651 billion (41.5% of GDP) at the end of November 2023. They increased by 10.5% compared to the same month of 2022 (10.3% annual growth in October 2023).
At the end of November 2023, claims on loans to the non-government sector amounted to BGN 89.217 billion (47.7% of GDP) compared to BGN 88.338 billion (47.3% of GDP) at the end of October 2023. They increased annually by 11.3% in November 2023 (11.5% annual growth in October 2023).
In November 2023, loans to Non-financial corporations increased by 6.3% annually (7.3% annual growth in October 2023) and at the end of the month amounted to BGN 43.761 billion (23.4% of GDP).
Loans to households were BGN 38.041 billion (20.3% of GDP) at the end of November 2023. They increased by 14.9% compared to the same month of 2022 (14.3% annual growth in October 2023).
At the end of November 2023 loans for house purchases were BGN 19.494 billion and increased by 20% annually (19.2% annual growth in October 2023). Consumer loans amounted to BGN 16.839 billion and compared to November 2022 they rose by 11% (10.7% annual growth in October 2023).
In November 2023, loans to sole proprietorships and partnerships without legal status increased annually by 2.8% (2% annual growth in October 2023) reaching BGN 463.6 million. Loans granted to financial corporations were BGN 7.415 billion at the end of November 2023 (4% of GDP). Compared to November 2022, they increased by 25.8% (25.4% annual growth in October 2023).
