site.btaEurostat: Inflation Slowed Down across EU in June
The annual inflation in the EU, measured according to the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices slowed down to 6.4% in June from 7.1% in May.
Meanwhile, the annual inflation in the eurozone dropped from 6.1% in May to 5.5% in June, according to the latest Eurostat data, released on Wednesday.
Consumer prices in Bulgaria grew by 7.5% in June on an annual basis, compared with 8.6% in May. Bulgaria placed 11th among EU countries with the highest annual inflation in June.
Month-on-month, prices in Bulgaria edged up by 0.1%.
According to data of the National Statistical Institute, the annual inflation in Bulgaria in June was 8.7%. Compared with May 2023 in June the consumer prices in Bulgaria edged down for a second month in a row, by 0.4%.
