There is no pollution of the marine environment in Bulgaria's Black Sea waters from Ukraine, show data from the regular testing of coastal waters from the designated beach points with the cooperation of Border Police, the Environment Ministry said on Tuesday. The  Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii (RSV 421) naval research vessel conducts additional monitoring of the sea water.

The forecast for the cleanliness of the northwestern Black Sea remains favourable, with potential pollutants circulating in Ukraine's exclusive economic zone. Satellite imagery does not show pollution in Bulgaria's exclusive economic zone.

The Environment and Water Ministry monitors the state of the Black Sea waters regularly following the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam on Ukrainian territory.

The latest data from the Integrated Coastal Zone Management and Monitoring Centre at the Naval Academy in Varna as well as satellite monitoring do not show pollution of Bulgarian waters with potential pollutants as a result of the incident.
