Nearly 20% of all cases of illegal employment are found in the hospitality industry, according to data of the General Labour Inspectorate.

Between January and June 3,052 inspection were carried out in the hospitality industry wh8ich found 15, 905 violations. Those related to working health and safety were 6,438. Those related to employment relations were 9344, of which 1941 were related to payment, and 1,566 to the working hours. The inspectors found 353 workers without an employment contract. 

The General Labour Inspectorate said that control at seaside resorts will be stepped up. Inspections will focus on prevention of undeclared labour. The Inspectorate said that there is a high risk of undeclared labour with seasonal occupation and the hospitality industry. The Inspectorate monitors whether the working rights of workers from Ukraine are respected.
